ELCA Lutherans Join Other Christians for Palm Sunday Path Event
March 29, 2026
On Palm Sunday, ELCA Lutherans across the country joined with other Christians to take part in the Palm Sunday Path, an ecumenical movement encouraging Christians to publicly live out Matthew 25 values of feeding the hungry, healing the sick, and welcoming the stranger.
Events happened across the country, including in cities throughout Wisconsin. The Lutheran Office for Public Policy in Wisconsin joined the event at the state capitol in Madison, Wisconsin.
Attendees carried palms, walked together around Capitol Square, and sought to embody a different vision of power, rooted in humility, mercy, and courageous love.
